An Atrómitos Series
Worried. Tired. Frustrated.
Reflections On Our Current Reality
The Atrómitos Founder’s Letter, normally written by its Founder, Michealle Gady, for this short series, members of Atrómitos were given the platform to speak up on issues important to them. Now, it’s an annual series where each member gives their take on the challenges of this worrying, tiring, frustrating world. These are their words.
2023
Gun violence in the United States, xenophobia, attacks on gender-affirming care, culture wars, and racial inequality: the beginning of our worries, the tiring state of the world, and the frustration of the world we find ourselves in.
2024
Abortion bans, history repeating itself, fighting fascists, the perils of the mental health system–one can’t help but ask themselves in worry, “How much more?” We’re tired. Too tired. We can’t help but grow increasingly frustrated with where we find ourselves now.
