Tiffany Erichsen, MPA, MSW, NBC-HWC, boasts over a decade of seasoned experience in health and human services program management. Her adept project management skills, effective facilitation, and leadership prowess all focus on fostering health equity. Tiffany’s career trajectory reflects her proficiency in designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating impactful programs, particularly targeting underserved communities.
As Regional Director for Workforce Development in Region 8, Tiffany spearheaded the “621 ARPA COVID-19 PH Regional Workforce” grant initiative. This initiative aimed to bolster the foundational capabilities of the public health workforce across a predominantly rural region of North Carolina. Leveraging her expertise, she conducted a comprehensive gap analysis to identify staffing and training deficiencies, leading to the development and implementation of targeted training programs.
Additionally, Tiffany was pivotal in creating and executing an extensive training program on cultural competence, cultural humility, and health literacy for the Healthy Opportunities Pilot. This initiative targeted professionals within human service organizations across Southeastern North Carolina, equipping them with the necessary skills to serve diverse communities effectively and promote health equity.
Furthermore, Tiffany has been instrumental in establishing workforce development programs for students at the University of North Carolina Wilmington including MentorCHHS, Interprofessional Education Mega-Simulation Days, and the Health Equity Bonner Fellowship. These programs help students attain skills in interprofessional collaboration, professionalism, leadership, and health equity, reflecting Tiffany’s commitment to nurturing future public health advocates and professionals.
Previously, Tiffany served in various capacities, including Center for Workforce Development Coordinator, Center for Clinical Research Workforce Development Coordinator, and Social Work Associate. Her educational journey includes a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, a Master of Public Administration from Florida International University, and a Bachelor of Arts with Departmental Honors in Psychology from Hamilton College. She recently completed a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Evaluation from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Additionally, she holds the esteemed National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) designation, further enriching her professional repertoire.
