Raina Sharma, MPH, is a data strategist passionate about leveraging technology and analytics to drive positive impact. Raina possesses a robust skill set spanning the realms of public health, analytics, surveying, database management, and health IT with a focus on health information exchanges (HIE).
Throughout her career, Raina has assisted companies with all aspects of reporting and analytics, from data collection to strategy and analysis, as well as product management of data platforms. Most recently, this included assisting the Maryland Department of Health’s Contact Tracing Unit with managing its contact tracing technology during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Raina earned her MPH in Epidemiology (Global Health track) from Columbia University and started her career as a Behavioral Health Epidemiologist for the U.S. Army. Raina honed her analytics expertise as a Data Analyst at Big Huge Games and as a Consultant for CRISP (Maryland’s HIE). As a current and past Consultant for CRISP, she has worked with various stakeholders, from Local Health Departments to Hospitals, to provide actionable analytics to help address negative health outcomes.
